OyatsuBox Unboxing & Review May 2017

When I started typing this post up (last week, last month? A while ago!) I was going to tell you all that I was slowly catching up on my unboxings, that I was about done with my May boxes and, shock, even looked set to be publishing my June posts IN JUNE.

(Who was I kidding, expect them in July. Maybe.)

Then my partner threw a spanner (or should I say spaniel) in the works by bringing home this absolute cutie:

Now on the plus side, we’ve got a dog! On the minus (in terms of blogging, because this isn’t really a minus), my time has very much been taken up with said dog so all the catch up progress I had made is pretty much redundant. Plus my photography space is currently out of action from the last minute dog proofing around the house (as in, take everything and pile it in the spare room) so my as of yet un-photographed July boxes are going to have to wait until that is sorted. Shouldn’t take long though ^_^

There’s also the more amusing issue of my dog’s cardboard box fascination, every time I open a box she jumps right in (crushing anything left inside) and makes herself a little bed:

Doggo unboxings anyone? ^_~

Once the dog settles in and I get my work space sorted out I’ll push to get on top of posting again, until then I hope you guys don’t mind slightly behind unboxings!

Now, on to the actual unboxing. Today I’ll be talking about the May OyatsuBox, which has a Japanese Festival theme 。^‿^。

OyatsuBox have changed up their leaflets again, we’re back to the larger tri-fold format. I’m sad that people didn’t seem to enjoy the postcard format as much, I guess maybe for some it was too much of a hassle to go to the dedicated link to get the detailed snack information? I don’t know, I really enjoyed them anyway. They make wonderful wall decorations! The new leaflets have more information and still feature awesome photos, they are like a cross between the original leaflet and the photographic postcards so hopefully this version can please everyone 。^‿^。

Now, lets see what’s inside~

Unboxing & Review: OyatsuBox April 2017

OyatsuBox April 2017 Unboxing + Review

Oh my, it’s been a long time since I posted an OyatsuBox unboxing! I’ve still been subscribed and have really enjoyed all the boxes so far this year. Oyatsu seem to have been super busy behind the scenes as they now have both a UK store and a special Okinawa store (both very exciting!) as well as a new, bigger warehouse which I believe they are moving to this week. I’m so happy to see Oyatsu Cafe expanding! o(≧▽≦)o

My May box arrived last week but I figured it’s not too late to do a quick unboxing for the April box first. I’ve skipped too many great boxes this year, I don’t want to skip any more 。゚・ (>﹏<) ・゚。

Unboxing & Review: OyatsuBox November 2016

I know this post is a little late, our box was seriously delayed due to the time of year (the UK postal service seems to just break around Christmas when it comes to international deliveries) and then Christmas was upon us and family time took priority over blog time.

Now New Years Eve has arrived I figure I better get this post published this year, eh? On that note,Happy New Year everyone! May it be everything you wish it to be! ღゝ◡╹)ノ♡

Our December Oyatsubox arrived on Christmas eve, which was a surprise because after this one being so late I didn’t expect the December box until January. That was a nice surprise! I’ll be getting that post up soon too, I’m actually more excited about the December box than this box to be honest (not that this box is bad!), it has a few items I’m super excited about so do check back soon for December’s unboxing/review ^_^

For now, read on to find out what we thought of the awesome November box (♡´౪`♡)

Unboxing: Oyatsu Box Premium April 2016

I know I know, April is long gone. In fairness this box was super late, I didn’t receive mine until the 7th of May and that just so happened to be the day before I went on holiday (bad timing, eh?), so it has sat untouched until this week. I still wanted to share the contents, since it was a pretty awesome box despite the problem with UK delivery.

I’m just going to give a quick rundown on each snack this time because I haven’t had time to try any of it yet (well, except the Kit Kats!). Plus, I’m a bit behind on posts now…oops!

On the plus side, I’ve already received my May box (it arrived on the 23rd) so hopefully the postal problems have been resolved 🙂

Unboxing: Oyatsu Box Premium March 2016

It’s that time of the month again! Well, actually this arrived a couple of days ago now I just haven’t had time to upload this.

I think by now it’s safe to say that my days of having a mid month box are over. I don’t pay extra for the express shipping, so it’s not a big deal. But it is sad to see the prediction I made back when they introduced express shipping, namely that once they introduced express shipping standard subscribers like me would receive a slower service as they send the standard boxes a few days later, appears to have come true.*

Slightly irritating, but then maybe I have no right to be irritated since I don’t pay extra. Or maybe I do have the right to be annoyed at this, since ultimately my service shouldn’t worsen just because other people can afford to pay extra; Oyatsu Box should only have offered a faster service if they could continue the same service to everyone else AND manage an express service on top of that, not add an express service at the expense of those who cannot pay more.

Anyway, minorly grumpy grumblings aside, let’s see what’s inside the March Oyatsu Box!

* Oyatsu Box have reassured me they do ship all boxes at the same time and that UK post has simply slowed down. Hopefully this means it will pick up again!
