Today I’m going to talk about an awesome subscription box; Japan Candy Box! This box is pretty popular so you may have heard of it already, if you haven’t you can find their website here: www.japancandybox.com
Japan Candy Box is a monthly subscription box containing 8-10 carefully selected Japanese snacks. They currently have one box size with several subscription options, the standard monthly subscription costs $19.90 per month and, as is often the case with subscription boxes, you can find a discounted rate on the longer term plans.
Shipping is free worldwide, which is very impressive! My box was sent using Registered Airmail (which includes a tracking number) and even with the busy Christmas period my box made it to the UK in just under 3 weeks. My other boxes took a lot longer than this to arrive so this really surprised me!
Japan Candy Box describe themselves as ‘the sweetest monthly Japanese candy subscription box‘ and after unboxing this one I must say I agree; Japan Candy Box officially hold the title of most adorably kawaii candy box we’ve ever tried! Read on to see what cute and delicious snacks came in the November 2016 edition ♥ω♥

Today I’m going to take a look at yet another awesome Japanese candy subscription box; Candy Japan!
Candy Japan does things a little differently; rather than one big monthly box, you get two smaller boxes a month for $25 (including worldwide shipping). Overall they say you’ll get around 3-6 items per month, depending on the size of the items, and they try to include things that would be hard/expensive to obtain outside of Japan. You can find full information on their service here.
Candy Japan kindly provided this box free of charge in exchange for an honest review. This in no way influenced my opinions on the box contents, the service or anything else.

Black Thunder bars are fairly well known and are a mash up of dark cocoa cookie pieces, plain cookies pieces, rice puffs and chocolate poured into a block like bar. This version, Big Black Thunder, is larger, thinner and seems to have little to nothing in common with the original Black Thunder bars, as it is essentially a large chocolate coated biscuit. Which is fine by me, I love chocolate biscuits ^_^
We got this one as part of our November Oyatsu Box.

Happy Halloween! The day has come and so far for me has been filled with junk food and Halloween craft projects. As it should be! 🙂
Here’s yet another Halloween themed Japanese treat we got to try this year; a Halloween edition of the well known biscuit snack Collon in a very interesting pumpkin chocolate cream flavour. I love when vegetables are combined into desserts/snack foods, so these stood out to me both as a great flavour and a great Halloween themed treat.
We got this pack from Japan Center, but it was only stocked as a seasonal item. Look out next year!
