Review: Fuku Fuku Tai Chocolate

 photo IMG_0403wm_zpskrnmxr4q.jpg

I have a real thing for Taiyaki. Those adorable little fish shaped snacks, often described as a cross between a waffle and a cake, with their amazing range of fillings…well, I’m just dying to try them! TheyΒ look so delicious and utterly sweet in every way.

You can imagine how excited I was to findΒ this Fuku Fuku Tai Chocolate, a delightful chocolate filled wafer that looks just like a Taiyaki! I can’t get the real thing, but at least I can have this adorable wafer look alike ^_^

We got this in our Jaunary TokyoTreat box, you can see what else we got here.

Review: Ghana White Chocolate Bar

 photo IMG_0082-wm_zps3grkg7nn.jpg

I love when something totally new arrives in our subscription boxes. This month we got to try Japanese white chocolate for the first time in the form of a lovely big bar of Lotte Ghana, which may sound silly considering white chocolate is hardly a Japan only product but hey. It’s still a new thing. This chocolate is Japan only, so it’s new to us πŸ™‚

We got this bar as part of our December Oyatsu Box, you can see what else we got here.

Review: Torotto Maple

 photo IMG_9698-wm_zpsbyjhhpni.jpg

Torotto drew me in with their vague yet interesting product description; crispy baked chocolates with a creamyΒ centre, in this case a fall inspired maple creamΒ centre. Plus, the name looks like Totoro (the Ghibli character) so yeah :p

This flavour is a limited edition, but you can still find some floating around on Oyatsu Cafe hereΒ (in fact it’s on sale right now!).

Review: Big Black Thunder Coconut

 photo IMG_9401wm_zpse0vo2b4r.jpg

Black Thunder bars are fairly well known and are a mash up of dark cocoa cookie pieces, plain cookies pieces, rice puffs and chocolate poured into a block like bar. This version, Big Black Thunder, is larger, thinner and seems to have little to nothing in common with the original Black Thunder bars, as it is essentially a largeΒ chocolate coated biscuit. Which is fine by me, I love chocolate biscuits ^_^

We got this one as part of our November Oyatsu Box.

Review: Star Wars Bikkuriman

 photo IMG_8603wm_zpsernkl16h.jpg

I wasn’t really sure if I should review this one or not; on the one hand I don’t have much to say about it (I mean it is just a chocolate filled wafer), but on the other I found it ridiculously yummy and pretty fun to boot.

So, this one is going to be more picture heavy than informative. But that’s ok πŸ™‚

We got this wafer as part of our September Oyatsu Box, you can see what else we got here.

Review: Sakura Matcha Kit Kats

 photo bwwm_zpswqo0ijt6.jpg

It’s Kit Kat time again! And yes, time for a review rather than more NaBloPoMo musings πŸ˜‰

I love matcha or sakura themed anything, not to mention Kit Kats themselves, so these sakura matcha (cherry blossom/green tea) flavoured Kit Kats were a natural purchase for me. Always good to combine the things you love, right?

We got this cute little gift box (containing three mini kit kats) from Tofu Cute for Β£3.99.
