Day 30: I did it!

It’s the final day of NaBloPoMo and I am deeply joyous to be able to say I did it; I wrote a blog post every single day and completed this challenge!

To some this is an easy feat, to me it is a very personal victory and a massive confidence boost that I can achieve a goal that even this time last year would have been impossible for me. And that’s not just because my blog did not exist last year ๐Ÿ˜‰

I feel like I achieved quite a bit in learning how to blog more successfully, which was one of the things I hoped would happen. I learned how to embed videos, how to re blog (yes I really was that much of a wordpress noob), how to alter content and, more importantly, that it is ok to alter content. I’ve gained a little more insight into what interests people in the blogging world while gaining 9 followers, who I hope will continue to find this blog interesting, and finding a few blogs I’m looking forward to reading again. I’ve learned plenty of other things that right now I have forgotten, but lets just pretend they are passive skills and that’s ok.

I’m not going to lie, I’m looking forward to not feeling I have to post every single day. Especially now the Christmas season has truly begun. I’m hoping to keep things more regular than they were, but I’m not going to churn out posts for the sake of it when I am not 100% happy with the content (an unfortunate downside to NaBloPoMo).

It’s been a fun journey, and I’d like to thank all of you who have viewed and liked my posts over the last month. Plus, congrats to all you others who have just completed NaBloPoMo (and of course, those NaNoWriMo victors; go get that novel polished and published!). We all rock ๐Ÿ™‚
