NaBloPoMo is here!

This is it, day one of the month long NaBloPoMo (that’s National Blog Posting Month) challenge. Am I up for it? I guess we’ll see 🙂

So far, I’ve been busy jotting down little ideas for blog posts. For me, this is the real challenge; finding something to blog about that isn’t just snack reviews, since there is absolutely no way I could take and edit a full set of photographs to do a review everyday. Why not?

Well for starters, I rely on natural light at present so in forcing myself to take photographs every single day in November in Northern Ireland (i.e. cold, dark, wet Northern Ireland) I am going to end up with a lot of very poorly lit photos, which I just wouldn’t be happy with.

Second, I don’t have the concentration. I literally just do not have the concentration. That means I’d be churning out sub standard pictures and text. Definitely not a good idea. It would make this blog a point of stress in my life, which I never want it to be.

Plus, let’s face it. Eating more snacks? Eating more expensive, imported snacks? Bad idea both for my waistline and my bank account. 😉

It’s not laziness talking. Honest.

I’m looking forward to expanding my blog content, certainly my ‘general updates’ section is rather neglected (oops). This is the perfect opportunity to work on different types of blog post, possibly even with more varied content than simply Japanese snacks. Part of me doesn’t want to go too off topic, but then I think why not? This is a personal blog, why not make it personal?

So yes. We will see what this month of blogging brings. Good luck to everyone else out there who is trying this, we can do it! 🙂
